Sometimes God uses very specific moments that no one else would experience.
Yeah, you might say it’s a coincidence, or ‘luck’ or just random.
That’s true if that moment can be experienced by anyone else.
Or if that moment can be replicated if you wait long enough.
What if before that moment came to be, you were prompted to get ready for no rhyme or reason?
Or you were going through some situation and waiting for some assurance and comfort from the creator?
As written in Deuteronomy 31:6, Moses reminded the Jews what God promised, to be “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Below is an ongoing collection of images that I believe is God’s way of speaking, encouraging me in challenging situations. Sometimes it’s just His way to remind me of His presence.
Enjoy 🙂

Freedom of space.
Right after my hotel breakfast somewhere in Sydney, I decided to take a walk around the hotel, and snap a few shots of the building on the left. Just as I took out my mobile, this bird flew towards my direction. The juxtaposition of space and that building was perfect.

Silver lining, hope, angels singing.
I’m sure this happens quite often in any year if we look up to the skies. But this lighting effect is just too beautiful to miss.

A family of birds caught.
I was crossing a 2-way road, amazed by the fluffy cloud in the sky. Once on the curb, I had this prompting to backtrack to take a photo. Once I lifted up my mobile, this group of birds took flight! I had no idea where they came from.

An incoming storm in Bangkok.
At one of the tallest building in Bangkok, having a scrumptious lunch buffet. Like any photographer (and tourist), I wanted to take a city view. That HUGE storm cloud (Lenticular cloud?), loomed in. It only took 10mins before this view is nothing but watery, blurry raining scene.

7 pigeons taking shelter from the rain.
A humorous moment. Cutting through the void decks escaping the rain, these pigeons were oblivious to my presence. The interesting part? They were all looking in the same direction. After a few more steps, this formation was gone, all looking and walking in a various ways.

The lone pigeon takes off.
While waiting for a retail shop to open, I sat on the stairs facing that building. A pigeon flew in and stood on a ledge, facing me, for the next few minutes. I whipped out my mobile and took a shot of the resting bird. Just as I was about to change my angle, it took off and just in time, I snapped.

Spiderman hanging around.
Caught him at this quiet spot just as I stepped out of the elevator. Was he checking his mobile phone or checking people on the ground?
I believe God is also and always is looking at us, and thinking about us.
Like the Psalmist wrote:
How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
Psalm 139:17-18
It’s not a coincidence that you are reading this post, all the way to this point.
Perhaps God also wants to give you the assurance that He is right here for you, just as He was there for me for all the shots above, and still is with me every moment.
If you have been looking for answers, questions which only you and God knows, I’d like to invite you to my church’s weekend service.
